Annual plant 1.5 m high. Blooms in June, July.

COLLECTION
For medicinal purposes, the whole plant is used in different phases of its growth. The
upper part of the plant, 20 cm long, is collected and dried during the formation of
spikes.
USE OF
In the diet, oat products are traditional breakfast foods of many peoples of the world.
Oat groats and flakes - healthy food for children and adults, dietary product and
healing agent for chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Grain contains starch, protein, fat, amino acids, organic acids, glycosides, vitamins
E, B1, B2, A, K.
Oats also contain phosphorus, iron, cobalt, magnesium, zinc, aluminum, potassium,
boron, iodine. No other plant contains as much zinc as oats. Oats contain enzymes
that improve carbohydrate absorption processes. Fresh oat stalks have a
diaphoretic, antipyretic, diuretic effect. It is used to treat gallstone disease, as well as
in cases of physical and mental overwork, neurasthenia and insomnia.
Oat straw and unrefined grains increase the possibilities of skin functions, promote
the elimination of inflammatory processes in the nerve endings.
In homeopathy, oats are used primarily as a remedy for nervous overload and loss
of appetite, insomnia and inability to concentrate.
Oat preparations help to recover strength after severe infectious diseases and after
