Project objective:                                                      The project brought together representatives from 11 European countries—Portugal, Spain, France, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Malta, Italy, and Slovakia—to build an international cooperation network fostering a tolerant, respectful, and democratic European identity. This was achieved through joint activities, experience exchanges, and best practice sharing, all centered around cultural heritage.
Project implementation time:

The project began on March 1st, 2021, and concluded on November 30th, 2022. During this period, five in-person events were held in Portugal, Malta, Hungary, France, and Spain, each gathering approximately 125 participants.

Financing: The project was funded by the European Union’s "Europe for Citizens" program.
Project managing partner: The initiative was launched by the Alqueidão Municipality in Portugal.

At the end of November, the international project “Cultural Heritage—A Foundation for Building Europe's Future” concluded, exploring European development perspectives through the lens of cultural heritage.

As a cooperation partner, Lūznava Manor, representing Rēzekne Municipality, gained valuable experience in understanding the diverse roles and opportunities cultural heritage plays in regional development.

The project brought together representatives from 11 European countries—Portugal, Spain, France, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Malta, Italy, and Slovakia—to build an international cooperation network fostering a tolerant, respectful, and democratic European identity. This was achieved through joint activities, experience exchanges, and best practice sharing, all centered around cultural heritage.

Initiated by the municipality of Alqueidão, Portugal, the project included Rēzekne Municipality as a key partner, with Iveta Balčūne, manager of Lūznava Manor, and Inga Žirgule, cultural project manager, representing the region.

Launched on March 1st, 2021, and completed on November 30th, 2022, the project featured five international events in Portugal, Malta, Hungary, France, and Spain, each gathering around 125 participants.
